GESEA Level 1 — Foundations Course

The GESEA Level 1 Foundations Course is the entry point into the European standard for minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. It covers the three core competencies of the GESEA programme — laparoscopic navigation, suturing and hysteroscopy — all assessed through internationally validated exams.

Training takes place exclusively on Karl Storz simulation equipment in a dry lab environment. No patients. No operating room pressure. Just structured, hands-on practice with immediate feedback from experienced instructors.

Completing this course and passing the TESTT1, LASTT1, SUTT1 and HYSTT1 assessments awards the GESEA Level 1 Certificate — a prerequisite for Level 2 and the minimum competency standard before OR training in minimally invasive surgery.
